Muslim Ummah of North America (MUNA) is a faith based religious and social organization, established in 1990 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Over the past
three decades, MUNA has expanded its’ activities across the United States.
MUNA offers unique programs and services that seek to improve the individual, family and the greater society by imparting Islamic knowledge, promoting social service, engaging in community activism, and much more.
Over the years, MUNA has evolved into a nationally recognized grassroots organization. The organization is empowered by a unique emphasis focused on personal development of individuals through a comprehensive Islamic education and active involvement in communities across the country by providing opportunities for social service, interfaith initiatives, youth programs, and community development.
By cooperating and collaborating with other organizations, MUNA strives to maintain harmonious relationship with various organizations, religious and ethnic communities and neighbors across the USA.
And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims." (AI-Qur'an Surah Fussilat 41:33)
Allah (SWT) has created human beings and endowed them with the power of reasoning, freedom of choice and other faculties. (SWT) has sent down His guidance to show us the right path. Human beings have the right to accept His guidance or to reject it.
Allah (SWT) has perfected His guidance (Peace be upon him). He has chosen Islam as the only way of life for all people and all times Islam shows us the straight path (Sirat al-mustaqeem).
The Path of Al-Mustaqeem or the right path on which if a person firmly grounded, will achieve peace and tranquility in this world and salvation in the hereafter. Muhammad (Peace be upon him) besides calling human beings to apply the teachings of Islam in their lives, brought reformation to human life through organization and education. There is no alternative for us
today, other than living an organized way of life to keep ourselves and our children on the straight path. Allah (SWT) said in the Qur'an "And hold fast, all together, by the rope of Allah and be not divided (AI-Qur'an Surah Ale-Imran 3: 103)
Allah (SWT) has entrusted the Muslims with the duty to call humanity toward good. In view of the above, Muslim Ummah of North America (MUNA) is conducting its activities in the United States of America to keep Muslims on the path of good yourselves" among to call humanity at large to good.
Guiding Principles:
The guiding principles in adopting decisions and carrying out activities of this organization shall be the Holy Quran and the Sunnah. MUNA shall function as a nonprofit organization under the Federal and the State laws and regulations.
Mission Statement:
The Mission Statement (aim and objective) of this organization shall be to seek the gratification of Allah by taking up the tasks of improving personal, moral and social lives of people.
Muslim Ummah of North America (MUNA) works on the basis of a five-point
- Da’wah: To call Muslims to practice the commandments of Islam and introduce Islam to the non-Muslims.
- Organization: To organize those individuals under this organization, who are interested in working for the betterment of themselves and for the society.
- Education: To strive to improve individual’s life through acquiring Islamic knowledge and skills.
- Social Service: To carry out social welfare services for the development of the society.
- Relationship: To try to develop mutually beneficial relationships with different organizations, religious and ethnic communities and neighbors.
Membership:
There shall be three types of membership in this organization, namely:
- Associate Member.
- Member.
- Senior Member.
Associate Member:
A. Any individual, who is interested in performing the basic responsibilities of Islam (re: article 3) can become an Associate Member of this organization if he/she –
- Agrees with the aim, objective and agenda of the organization, and
- Makes regular financial contributions.
B. Procedure to become an Associate Member:
Anyone can become an Associate Member, if he/she expresses his/her interest by accepting the above terms, and filling out the prescribed form.

মুনা পরিচিতি
মুসলিম উম্মাহ অফ নর্থ আমেরিকা (মুনা) একটি ধর্মীয় এবং সামাজিক সংগঠন, ১৯৯০ সালে একটি ননপ্রফিট 501 (c) (3) সংস্থা হিসাবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত। প্রতিষ্ঠার পর থেকে গত তিন দশকে, মুনা পুরো মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্র জুড়ে তার কার্যক্রমগুলি প্রসারিত করেছে।
মুনা বিভিন্ন প্রকার কর্মসূচীর মাধ্যমে ব্যক্তি, পরিবার ও সমাজে ইসলামী জ্ঞান অর্জন, সমাজ সেবা, পারস্পারিক সুসম্পর্ক স্থাপনের নজির স্থাপন করে যাচ্ছে।
ইতোমধ্যে মুনা একটি জাতীয় স্বীকৃত তৃণমূল সংগঠনে পরিণত হয়েছে। সংগঠনটি ব্যাপকভাবে ইসলামী শিক্ষা বিস্তারের মাধ্যমে ব্যক্তিগত মান উন্নয়ন, পারিবারিক সম্পর্ক উন্নয়ন, সমাজসেবা মূলক কাজ, ইয়ুথ ছেলে-মেয়েদের মেধা যোগ্যতার বিকাশ ও কমিউনিটির উন্নয়নে দেশজুড়ে সক্রিয়ভাবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে।
অন্যান্য সংস্থাগুলির সাথে সহযোগিতা করে মুনা মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্র জুড়ে বিভিন্ন সংস্থা, ধর্মীয় এবং নৃগোষ্ঠী সম্প্রদায় এবং প্রতিবেশীদের সাথে সুসংগত সম্পর্ক বজায় রাখার চেষ্টা করছে।
“তার চেয়ে উত্তম কথা আর কোন ব্যক্তির হতে পারে- যে মানুষকে আল্লাহর পথে ডাকে এবং সে (নিজেও) নেক কাজ করে এবং বলে, আমি মুসলমানদেরই একজন” (সুরা হা-মীম আস সিজদাহ ৪১:৩৩)
আল্লাহ (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তা’আলা) মানুষকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং তাকে চিন্তা ও ইচ্ছার স্বাধীনতা এবং অন্যান্য ইন্দ্রিয়ের শক্তি দান করেছেন। তিনি আবার তাকে সঠিক পথের দিকনির্দেশনাও দিয়েছেন। এখন মানুষ ইচ্ছে করলে এ পথ গ্রহণ করতে পারে আবার অস্বীকারও করতে পারে।
ইসলামের বিধানকে মানুষের জীবনে বাস্তবায়নের জন্য সবাইকে আহবানের পাশাপাশি তাদেরকে সংঘবদ্ধ করে দ্বীনের প্রশিক্ষণ দানের মাধ্যমে তাদের জীবনে সংশোধন এনেছিলেন মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ)। আজকে আমাদের ও আমাদের সন্তানদের সিরাতুল মুস্তাকীমের পথে অটল রাখতে হলে সংঘবদ্ধ জীবনের বিকল্প নেই।
আর আল্লাহ বলেছেন, “তেমরা আল্লহর রজ্জুকে সংঘবদ্ধভাবে ধারণ করো এবং পরস্পর বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ো না”। (আল কুরআন, সুরা আল ইমরান ৩:১০৩
মানুষকে কল্যাণের দিকে আহবান করার জন্য আল্লাহ উম্মতে মুসলিমাকে দায়িত্ব দিয়েছেন। এ সব বিষয়কে সামনে রেখে নিজেদেরকে কল্যাণের দিকে ডাকার উদ্দেশ্যে আমেরিকাতে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে মুসলিম উম্মাহ অফ নথ আমেরিকা (মনুা)।
মূলনীতি (Guiding Principles):
এ সংগঠনের সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ ও কার্যক্রম পরিচালনার মূলনীতি হচ্ছে কো’রআন ও সুন্নাহ। MUNA ননপ্রফিট সংগঠন হিসেবে ফেডারেল ও স্টেটের নীতিমালা অনুসারে পরিচালিত হবে।
লক্ষ্য ও উদ্দিশ্যে (Mission Statment):
এ সংগঠনের লক্ষ্য ও উদ্দেশ্য হচ্ছে মানুষের ব্যক্তিগত, নৈতিক ও সামাজিক জীবনের মান উন্নয়নের প্রচেষ্টা চালিয়ে যাওয়ার মাধ্যমে আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টি অর্জন
কর্মসূচী (Agenda):
- দাওয়াত (Da’wah) - ইসলামী আদর্শ অনুশীলনের জন্য মুসলমানদের প্রতি আহবান এবং অমুসলিমদের নিকট ইসলামের পরিচিতি তুলে ধরা।
- সংগঠন (Organization) - নিজের ও সমাজের কল্যাণে দায়িত্ব পালন করতে আগ্রহী ব্যক্তিগণকে সংগঠনের অধীনে সংঘবদ্ধ করা।
- শিক্ষা (Education) - ইসলামী জ্ঞান ও যোগ্যতা অর্জনের মাধ্যমে জীবনকে উন্নত করার প্রচেষ্টা চালানো।
- সমাজ সেবা (Social Service) - মানব সমাজের উন্নয়নে কল্যাণমূলক কাজ করা।
- পারস্পরিক সুসম্পর্ক (Relationship) - বিভিন্ন সংগঠন, ধর্মাবলম্বী, ভাষাভাষী ও প্রতিবেশীদের সাথে পারস্পরিক সুসম্পর্ক বৃদ্ধির প্রচেষ্টা চালানো।
সদস্যপদ ( Membership ):
এ সংগঠনে তিন প্রকারের সদস্যপদ থাকবে। যথা:-
- এসোসিয়েট মেম্বার (Associate Member).
- মেম্বার (Member).
- সিনিয়র মেম্বার (Senior Member)
এসোসিয়েট মেম্বার ( Associate Member ):
(ক) ইসলামের প্রাথমিক দায়িত্ব পালনে আগ্রহী যে কোন ব্যক্তি এ সংগঠনের এসোসিয়েট মেম্বার হতে পারবেন, যদি তিনি -
- এ সংগঠনের লক্ষ্য-উদ্দেশ্য ও কর্মসূচীর সাথে ঐক্যমত পোষণ করেন এবং
- নিয়মিত আর্থিক সাহায্য প্রদান করেন।
এসোসিয়েট মেম্বার হওয়ার নিয়ম :-
কোন ব্যক্তি উক্ত শর্তাবলী মেনে নিয়ে এসোসিয়েট মেম্বার হওয়ার ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ করলে, ফরম পূরণ করে এসোসিয়েট মেম্বার হতে পারবেন।
